Waiting for GTA 6's PC release might save you dropping an extra $20 for access to some special shops, based on my wading through GTA 5's editions soup

24 June 2026 at 14:45

Of the bunch of GTA 6 info Rockstar have dropped today, June 24th, the price is the obvious bit that's worth us PC players taking notice of before we resume waiting for any news as to when the game'll arrive on our box of choice, that being the one it's skipping at launch. Turning to the bunch of extra tat that's been made exclusive to the latest Big Stealy Wheely's ultimate edition, however, I think there is one thing worth thinking about in the PCverse.

How much of said tat will be prime fodder for bundling in with the PC version at launch, as Rockstar try and get many people to buy it a second time? I've taken a look back through the contents of GTA 5's terrifying maze of different editions to see what they might suggest on the matter.

El Paso, Elsewhere 2 invites you back into its moody, supernatural neo-noir world with sick flips and Frankenstein

7 June 2026 at 20:30

There are very few studios with an output as varied as Strange Scaffold's. They've got games about trading organs and babies, NSFW clicking, cooking delicious meals for kaiju, and, soon enough, sending pedestrians into a fantasy world to help an elf girl level up by running them over with your car. As it turns out, however, as revealed during today's PC Gaming show, Strange Scaffold have another, slightly familiar card up their sleeve: a sequel to El Paso, Elsewhere.

Amidst ongoing legal proceedings, Rockstar devs have publicly formed a union with the IWGB

28 May 2026 at 22:17

Last year, more than 30 Rockstar Games staff members were fired in an act of alleged union busting by the GTA 6 developer. Rockstar claimed that this firing was because said devs were leaking features from upcoming games. Following this, the UK's IWGB filed legal claims against the studio due to them supposedly refusing to negotiate over firings, a case which continues on to this day. Now, Rockstar devs have gone public with their union, calling themselves the Rockstar IWGB Game Workers Union.

Red Dead Online wasn't a missed opportunity in the eyes of Take-Two's boss, but I'd say it's proof that following the GTA train doesn't guarantee the world

27 May 2026 at 11:01

As Rockstar gear up to release GTA 6 (at least on consoles), spare a thought for Red Dead Online. The multiplayer element of Red Dead Redemption 2 had its steady flow of major update-carrying stagecoaches stopped all the way back in 2022, with its makers explicitly citing a desire to shift those development resources over to that next entry in the stealy wheels series.

There've been a few moments in the years since when Red Dead Online has looked a bit like it might bounce back to prominence, but nothing substantial in that vein has materialised. It essentially had a solid three year run, but failed to come close to grasping the reins from its older inspiration, GTA Online. In the eyes of Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, however, that doesn't make it a missed opportunity.
