I rarely talk or think about regrets, if at all. But today, Iβm going to share one with youβ¦in the hope that you donβt make the same boneheaded mistake I did.
It was the early 2000s, and I was the founder of a tech startup. Broadband Internet was getting rolled out, and I knew the Internet was going to be huge.
My gut was telling me to move my tech startup to Silicon Valley. There, Iβd have better access to capital, the right talent, and, most importantly, an environment where everyone was on the same path. As they say, proximity is power.
I ummed and erred about the decision. There were many reasons not to relocate - Iβd be far away from family, tech stocks were severely down, and there were costs I hadnβt planned on. I stayed put.
I justified it to myself in a million different ways, but the truth was I let fear, inertia, and being βsensibleβ make the decision for me.
And while you can never know how things would have turned out, I strongly suspect that not listening to my gut in this instance cost me hundreds of millions of dollars. I watched startup after startup with almost identical products as mine IPO or exit for billions.
Look, donβt cry for me. Iβve done OK. I still exited that business for more money than Iβd ever seen in my life and made investments that have created generational wealth.
Fast forward to today. The same way I knew in the early 2000s that the Internet would be huge is exactly how I feel right now about AI.
Can you feel it?
This time, Iβm not making the same mistake. Iβm going all in.
While Iβm no longer in tech, my team and I have created a plan to TRIPLE our revenue this year without adding any new staff β by leveraging AI. Weβre putting a huge amount of time, money, and personnel into AI-enabling our whole business.
The tools and processes weβre implementing are absolutely mind-blowing. This rabbit hole goes deep. Far deeper than just ChatGPT and how to use prompts. It touches every process in your business.
As I said in my book Lean Marketing, βAI wonβt take your job or disrupt your business, but someone using AI will.β
AI is making marketing and business faster, easier, and cheaper. If you donβt leverage it, your competitors will. Thatβs not a scenario you want to find yourself in.
Thatβs exactly why I hosted a deep-dive webinar on AI & Marketing: What You Need to Know for 2025 (And Beyond).
In it, I cover:
Β
β
How AI is driving business efficiency, innovation, and growth
β
The two mindset shifts you need to maximize AIβs impact
β
The exact AI tools weβre using to streamline marketing, content creation, and decision-making
β
How to prompt AI for better, more precise outputs (so you donβt waste time on garbage results)
β
Real-world use cases and strategies you can implement right now
If you missed it, the good news is you can still watch the full recording.

The opportunity with AI is massiveβbut only if you take action.

In the early 2000s, I had a window of opportunity and snoozed on it. The only question is, will you?
